Drama Clubs
Students will create their own characters and together fit each of the characters into a play that will be performed at the end of the class series.
Students start by learning the theatre basics including stage presence, vocal projection, and theatre vocabulary.
Self-expression is strongly promoted. In addition to learning story structure, students will strengthen their team building skills, communication skills, public speaking ability, as well as their creativity and self-confidence.
Focus is on monologues, scene work, and one-act plays. The session will end in a showcase performance of the students’ work.
Students start by learning the theatre basics including stage presence, vocal projection, and theatre vocabulary. Improvisation techniques, theatre games, and exercises will be introduced.
Students will boost their self-confidence and creativity, while improving their communication, reading, writing, and analytical skills, as well as their ability to work effectively in a group.
THEATRICAL HISTORY
Students create a monologue centered on a historical time, event, and/or historically important person. The session will end with a performance of the students’ monologues for their family and friends.
In addition to becoming more confident in public speaking, students will enhance their writing, researching, communication, and analytical skills.
Students will also learn the basics of theatre including stage presence, vocal projection, and theatre vocabulary.
SHAKESPERIAN ADVENTURES
Take the fear out of Shakespeare!
Students learn about Shakespeare and Elizabethan theatre, while rehearsing for their own production of one of the Bard’s famous plays. Students will learn the basics of theatre including stage presence, vocal projection, and theatre vocabulary.

with an SEL Focus
Improvisational games and theatre exercises are an incredibly interactive and fun way to teach social-emotional learning to students of all ages.
Students practice the art of listening, learn firsthand the power of collaboration by practicing "Yes and...." (accepting and building on an idea), learn to accept failures and develop a growth mindset, practice finding ways to overcome seemingly insurmountable hurdles & develop more social awareness and empathy all while having fun playing games and using their imaginations.
